I have the Sold Out software versions of Pharaoh Gold and Caesar III and I'm having big trouble playing either. I can install them just fine but when I try to play them by clicking on a shortcut it tries to load a moment, cuts to a black screen for a few seconds and then nothing happens. I have tried running them in compatibility mode and also as an administrator and still no luck. The games have actually been installed but they don't seem to work. Does anyone have any idea how this might be fixed please?Also, if I decide to download of GOG versions because my old discs won't work, can anyone vouch that the GOG downloads will work? I don't want to waste money on a download that won't work.Any help would be greatly appreciated. I got the disk of Pharaoh Gold off of Amazon a few years back, and I was able to install it in my 64 bit Windows 7. Try installing it in compatibility mode if you've got issues. Don't forget that you need to have the disk in to actually run the program, even if it is installed on your computer (at least I need it to be this way).Also, my computer switches graphics modes no matter what when I start it which results in it going to black for a second than coming back on at a lower resolution.
