  I feel it's sad how the Sims community can praise Maxis for allowing the game to be easily modded and then in the same breath condemn them when people actually create content. Maxis had a vision, it included cartoony eyelashes, if you don't like their vision they give us an easily modded game so we can change things, and people STILL complain *sigh*.

  TDU90-I agree, I like the eyelashes the way they are too. I think they fit with the characters. Realism has never been a huge deal for me with the game. If that were the case than I never would have played S2 with their huge jaws and even huger mouths. I would have never played the pudding faces S3.
  I do think it's great that people who like the 'realism' in their games and like this kind of stuff, are getting it from the modders around the community, but for me it's a vanilla game all the way. Because I like it the way it is.

  I like the look of these new lashes, but I wasn't one who minded the EA ones. I wonder how much difference they'll really make in game, though. Will they even show up?

  It is sad, but it will keep happening as long as there are people willing to throw money at half-baked projects. I know not everyone likes or wants cc, but does anyone truly love those 'eyelashes' that look like they're drawn on with a bad Sharpie? Ugh.

  
  I do. I love the style, and if i'm drawing, sometimes i draw them like that. Honestly, i was excited to see the way the eyelashes looked when they first showed off the game. Just the style that appeals to me more.

  I totaly agree the game was designed to be modded as the forum shows EA would never be able to cater for everybodies individual taste. I would have thought seasoned simmers would have understood this by now some CC people rave about I personaly find awfull I remember Peggy hairs looked awful in the game but some people raved about them .My tastewould be totaly different from 90% of other simmers I do not expect EA to cater just for me. :roll:

  I have never used mods in any of my sims games and I don't intend to start now. Especially not over eyelashes
  I get some people like to be in control of the little details but going nuts over eyelashes just makes me laugh!

  Looks pretty cool but tbh the eyelashes don't bother me at all, lol. Won't it all look the same in-game anyway, black lines around the eyes? :shock: I mean, I guess they'd come in handy for players who like to do photoshoots with their characters, but in Play Mode I won't have the camera shoved far enough up my Sim's nose to notice.

  I think that it is pretty pathetic that ea is putting a game out and charging 60 dollars for it that we will have to fix and make better

  I think its weird why if you aren't buying the game why should you care? I like CC it makes the game better.

  Guess you fail to realize ALL previous Sims games had a BALANCE. TS4 tips the scale and is not a balance and overall stylized retro cartoon with bloom full blast..what a eyesore.

  I personally prefer the defaults, but these are nice.
  And to everyones comments on modders making changes 'that should already be there' - that's what modders have always been for . To tweak the base game to the players desire. That's how it's been for every single Sims game as we're all different and play different styles.
  Personally, I don't think I'll be getting an eyelash mod unless I end up using a very detailed skin. I love the default art style.
