Government of canada home energy rebate program. The Energy Savings Rebate program provides funding to eligible retailers to support point of sale rebates for energy efficiency products in Ontario. The new program will help Ontarians reduce energy use, save money, and address climate change. Approximately $200 million is available for eligible retailers to provide rebates. Canada eco ENERGY grants — Ontario homeowners can get up to $5,000 in home improvement grants from the Canadian government’s eco ENERGY Retrofit - Homes program, which is in effect until March 31, 2012. The Energy Savings Rebate program is funded from a portion of Ontario’s Low Carbon Economy Leadership Fund allocation. The Government of Canada is reinvesting Ontario’s allocation in programs that encourage energy efficiency, fight climate change, and leave Ontarians with more money in their pockets. Radio ads, TV ads, videos, voice-overs, telemarketing, texts, and documents making reference to the program must include the text “Energy Savings Rebate program by the Government of Canada.” Direct references to the rebate program should be in the form “The Government of Canada’s Energy Savings Rebate program.”.
